What is Integrative Veterinary Medicine?
At Mitchell Animal Clinic we believe that pets, like humans, have individual personalities and needs. While some procedures can be standardized across the board, veterinary medicine is not a “one size fits all” approach. We believe in working with our clients to provide the best individualized care for their pets.
Integrative medicine provides the best of both worlds. It combines the knowledge of standard veterinary care with all natural and holistic modalities. Instead of competing with one another, integrative veterinary medicine provides a complimentary blending of practice philosophies. Often times western medicine is excellent at diagnosing problems and treating symptoms quickly, while Eastern philosophies, such as Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), focuses on the entire patient and trying to get to the root cause.
