Dr. Jared Mitchell - Owner and Veterinarian
He graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He was an Associate at a high-quality practice in Mobile from 2005 until July 2010. It is his passion to provide quality care for your pet that is also affordable. With the help of his wife, he founded Mitchell Animal Clinic in September 2010. As the practice has grown, Dr. Mitchell has developed an interest in a more holistic practice philosophy and has seen the benefits of combining conventional and holistic aspects of veterinary medicine. As he continues his educational journey in integrative medicine, Dr. Mitchell looks forward to adding new treatment options to his practice. Dr. Mitchell has also had the honor of being published in several veterinary journals and has presented at several veterinary conferences including the AHVMA, Emerald Coast, and AAVA conferences. It is his passion to educate his colleagues and clients on the benefits of holistic and integrative therapies while providing affordable, high quality integrative veterinary care for his patients.

Maggie Mitchell - Practice Manager / Chief Financial Officer
Maggie has over 20 years of accounting experience. She is an integral part of Mitchell Animal Clinic, keeping all aspects of the business running smoothly allowing for the best care of your pets. While helping operate Mitchell Animal Clinic, Maggie developed an interest in holistic living. Maggie has always held an appreciation for healthy cooking and the culinary arts. She was able to further her desire to help others by becoming a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and completed a certification in the Forks over Knives program for plant-based cooking. Maggie also enjoys the “oily” lifestyle and has been a member and distributer for Young Living Essential Oils for over 5 years. She has experienced the amazing benefits of essential oils for herself and enjoys helping Dr. Mitchell bring this amazing healing modality to the pets at the clinic. She recently added the ITOVI bioenergetic hand held scanner to her arsenal to help select the right oils and we plan to use it in the future with holistic pets.

They have 2 beautiful daughters and a crew of rescued pets.
