We are pleased to offer our clients a non-anesthetic form of cryosurgery for most cases of small skin lesions and bumps. The CryoPenworks by emitting a microjet of nitrous oxide (N2O) under high pressure (50-55 bars), achieving in-tissue temperature of -89°C for complete tissue necrosis in seconds. The process is often painless;however, some animals may react to the feeling of the temperature and to the sound produced from the CryoPen expelling the nitrous oxide. Some the common types of skin pathologies which can be treated include, warts and small skin tumors, tumors in the mouth, adenoma, perianal adenoma, ear tumors, epulides, sarcoids, aberrant or extra eyelashes (distichiasis), and many more. The exact number of treatments required will vary depending on the size and location. A more specific treatment plan can be discussed at the appointment. Treatment is very fast and safe and can be easily integrated into daily practice.
